New Patient Exam

This could very well be the most important appointment that you will have at our office. At this appointment, we gather all the information needed to formulate your dental treatment plan. We take this appointment very seriously and will not rush or cut corners. For instance, we will require a recent (within the last five years), readable set of full mouth xrays. If you do not have one, you will need to get us a good copy before this appointment or we can take one here. An adequate diagnosis cannot be made without good xrays.

This one hour appointment consists of:

• Discussing your health expectations with doctor and staff
• Medical and dental history
• Oral cancer screening
• Occlusion and jaw joint exam
• Tooth exam (existing condition of your teeth)
• Gum tissue and bone support exam
• Xray exam
• Pictures of your mouth
• Impressions of your mouth for molds (when required)
• Consultation and treatment plan discussion (usually done at the secondappointment at no extra charge)

During the appointment you will be comfortable and welcome. You will get to know us and we will get to know you, which will lay a foundation for a future positive dental experience.
